IVF Study
If you are interested in IVF, you may be an eligible candidate for our study. We are seeking healthy women between the ages of 35-42 to participate. Qualified participants will not be charged for their IVF cycle or medications.
This is a phase 3 clinical trial. It is a randomized, controlled, double blind study of a long-acting FSH, which is designed to remain in the body long enough to stimulate follicle growth for a full week i.e., one injection of the “study med” would be able to replace an entire week of daily FSH injections. More than 2,000 subjects in research studies have received the “study med” and it is approved by the European health authorities (where it is known as Elonva).
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of a single injection of the “study med” in inducing the development of multiple follicles, as compared to daily injections of 300 IU of recFSH. The effectiveness of the “study med” will be determined by the number of fetuses with heart activity conceived in study subjects, along with the number of growing follicles, the number of eggs retrieved, the number of viable embryos and the number of babies born.
• Participants of the study do not incur costs to participate.
• Partipants must be non smokers
• Partipants must have regular menstral cycles
• Particpants do not have to have previous attempts at IVF to qualifiy, and may not have more than three previous failed IVF cycles
